This is probably more down to my own psychology than anything else, but when a podcast or video I regularly consume has sponsored ads that are voiced by the presenter(s) themselves, I have a really bad reaction to it and I'm pretty sure it makes me less likely to investigate the product than if it was an inserted ad.
My instinctive reaction to it is a voice in my head screaming FAKE THIS IS FAKE FAKE DO NOT BELIEVE

I think I really dislike the term “technical debt”.
Sometimes you definitely need to upgrade things e.g. because of failing hardware or software no one can fix anymore; however if something is working fine and can be reasonably expected to not fail anytime soon, there’s simply no reason to spend time and money to replace it.

Detecting AI fakes is a losing battle.
Instead, we should assume everything is fake unless proven valid, using tools optimized for proving provenance. Anything else is at minimum suspect.

Sometimes when people do the right thing, it's "too little, too late"
When that comes after they hurt us, we often react from reasonable anger. Anger isn't wrong, and we shouldn't have to hand out cookies
What's missing is explaining that they're missing the other 5 parts of the anatomy of an apology. In particular, they haven't acknowledged the hurt, pain, and other impact they caused, nor done the work to fix past harm.

BTW, if I ever find out which one of my Mastodon followers are reporting my actions back to my ex-wife, you should know something.
You better hope I *never* find out who you are. Because if I do, I will hunt you down and beat the ever loving SHIT out of you.And I’ll have a smile on my face as I do it.
If you know anything about me, you know I’m not afraid of going to jail for beating the hell out of someone. Just ask Jay Nelson. 🤬

Missing from progressive movements is a thread of understanding how justice and the anatomy of an apology fits into both individual and societal experiences of systemic oppression
Honestly, I think folks are just burned the fuck out and don't have bandwidth for that. I feel ya. But it's still important to bring that back into the picture when we can.
And important to consider the realism that sometimes we just need to give them some fucking cookies as a damned Pavlovian conditioning cycle. Not because we have to, not because we should, but because it fucking works.
Sometimes we have to do things not for our ideals but for our survival.
